Picture Superiority Effect

Figure 5.5.1 shows the cover page of the flashcard

Figure 5.5.2 shows the content page of the flashcard

     Picture superiority effect is when pictures are remembered better than words.
     The example in Figure 5.5.1 and Figure 5.5.2 shows flashcards of history revision book. Flashcards exhibits picture superiority effect as it uses pictures and drawing to improve memory and recognition. The words in the flashcards are also kept to a minimum, with notes being replaced with mind maps and photos. This is especially useful in subjects that require memorization, such as history. Pictures will serve as memory aid to help students to remember and understand better, rather than reading plainly from books with a lot of words.
